I really enjoy gardening and am seeking to create a garden that has year round colour, I 'm not quite there yet! These liles were planted, bloomed and got eaten. "If at first you don't succeed...."

This painting is part of a series of small works Where I challenged myself to work small. Working small is not easier than large as there is less room for margin of error. I like to put limitations on my work, as conversely, it allows me to push the boundaries better. It's like having a resistance band to train with. In this case, the size could have dictated the brush size, but I used mostly large brushes, pushing against a rule. I also limited my palette to help me push my mixing ability.
