Oriental Lilies

This painting is part of a series I've been working on based around dramatic blooms. A blooming lily is a spectacular thing to behold. Delicate and yet strong in form, such a beguiling character. They are excellent in the Irish garden as long as they're not in the firing line of a northerly wind.
