Worlds beneath the Waves

This is one of a series of paintings based on real and imagined scenarios that occur in the ocean. I was laying down sea weed and water movement washes in water colour and felt that this painting needed some depth, a darkness without it being frightening. It reminded me of jumping off a boat and plunging deep into the water, looking up as I went down. I saw the light creating shafts which pierced the depths. It was so special.
